What is a Trust Account?

Modified on Wed, 2 Oct at 5:33 PM

As a Capital Market Services license holder, Validus is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and we are subject to the customer assets protection rules under the Securities and Futures Act (SFA) and the Securities and Futures (Licensing and Conduct of Business) Regulations (SF(LCB)R).  Under the regulation, we are required to set up account(s) with specified financial institution to hold customer's money. These accounts are designated as "Trust Accounts".

Trust Accounts will be maintained in accordance with Regulation 17 of the SF(LCB)R.

1. Funds held in the Trust Account are segregated from Validus' own funds and will not commingle with Validus’ own funds.
2. Funds deposited in the Trust Account are held on trust by Validus for and on behalf of the borrowers/investors.
3. Your funds will remain fully protected and segregated from any of Validus’ assets or liabilities and thus protected from Validus’ creditors, even in the unlikely event of insolvency of Validus.
